Getting started with the right detox center

Drug detoxAll too often people think that just any old detox center will be good enough. The problem we have seen is that many detox centers will only do the minimum required to get someone withdrawn from drugs and actually send them out the door with one or more new drugs via prescription.

That isn't effective detoxification help. We can assist you in locating a successful detox program.

Examples of Detoxification

Not all drugs require the same type of detox

Detox by itself if rarely, if ever, enough to stop the cycle of addiction or drug dependency. Detoxing from some drugs may only need sufficient food and rest, while others may require a full medically-supervised setting where drugs are administered in decreasing dosages to ease the withdrawal symptoms.

Opiates are notorious for having difficult withdrawals, and many opiate addicts (prescription painkillers, heroin, methadone, etc.) continue to use the drug just to avoid them. Having an appropriate detox center that can alleviate the severity of these symptoms may be an important first step to solving the problem. Heavy amounts of alcohol and various other prescription drugs may also require a more medicalized setting.

Our consultants can assist you in making the right detoxification choice for your situation.
